The Plönlein

This is the Plönlein, or "Little Plaza," of Rothenburg, probably the most popular tourist spot in the town. It includes, in addition to a small fountain and several half-timbered buildings, two medieval towers, both completed in the year 1204. The higher tower, on the left, is the Siebers Tower, and the lower one to the right is the Kobolzeller Tower. They are part of the inner circle of medieval fortifications of the town. — in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
