Le Pont d'Avignon (Pont Saint-Bénezet)
The Pont d'Avignon, otherwise known as the Pont Saint-Bénezet, the subject of a popular children's song, was originally constructed during the 12th century, and was reconstructed from time to time after repeatedly being partially washed away by the cresting of the Rhone River. It has been left in its present state since the 17th century.
